In a bid to restore sanity in the state and environment The Lagos State Government has cleared all illegal street traders at the 2nd Rainbow Junction, Mile 2 area of the state to restore order and free flow of vehicular activities on the busy road.
The said exercise was carried out by the enforcement team of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.
The Lagos state Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab, who shared the operation video on X, said the traders’ activities blocked traffic, put pedestrians at risk, and made the area dirty.
Further more He explained that the government will continue to act against such environmental violations. Wahab added that Lagos is committed to making the city safer, cleaner, and better for everyone by removing illegal trading that causes nuisance on the streets.
