The Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman has decry the  early campaigns by politicians is posing a serious threat to the country’s democracy.
He explained that starting campaigns before the official timetable creates disorder and undermines fair competition.
According to the INEC chairman, the electoral body is working to ensure rules are respected and elections remain credible.
He urged politicians and political parties to adhere to the guidelines, stressing that disobedience weakens public trust in the electoral system.
INEC assured Nigerians of its commitment to free and fair elections while calling for cooperation from all stakeholders.
